Boiler Tune-up
- Check Thermostat. Make sure all functions work, time and day are correct.
- Drain expansion tank as needed
- Purge air from system as possible
- Check water pressure
- Check aquastat/limit control.
- Test automatic vent damper (if applicable)
- Inspect boiler sections.
- Test zone motors (if applicable)
- Test for any carbon monoxide leaks/ventilation issues.
- Adjust water temperature if needed.
- Clean burner compartment.
- Check burner/flame condition.
- Check igniter condition.
- Clean flame sensor/pilot assembly.
- Check gas pressure.
- Check input voltage.
- Check low voltage transformer output.
- Check electrical safety controls.
- Check and secure all electrical connections.
- Check venting
Water Heater Tune-up
- Check venting.
- Check thermocouple and measure signal.
- Pull burner out. Check and clean.
- Clean pilot assembly.
- Check for proper draft.
